What this services offers

The Western Isles QUIT Smoking Service provides confidential information, advice and support on a one-to-one or group basis the length of the Western Isles (from Barra, through to Lewis). Information is available on the full range of Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) and other stop smoking products. Group sessions are run according to demand but generally there is a choice of an afternoon or early evening session in Lewis, and the Uists. The groups are relaxed, informal and friendly and the support and encouragement you get from the advisors and other quitters in the group mean that you are much more likely to stop smoking than going it alone. Support is also available for workplaces, hospital patients, young people and pregnant women and their families.

Most sessions are held during the day, although out of hours can be arranged by telephone. Please contact for details.
