What this services offers

Support sessions are available at a variety of locations, and are provided by stop smoking specialists, who have been specially trained in helping smokers to stop successfully. Sessions are very informal and usually last around one hour. As well as offering support, they can discuss Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) and other stop smoking products with you and arrange for a prescription to be requested from you GP if appropriate. This can then be picked up 3-5 days later. If attending one of our group sessions isn’t suitable for you then we also offer one to one appointments, home visits, telephone or email support depending on circumstances.
We also offer support to those who are trying to conceive, are pregnant or recently had a baby. Our advisors are here to give you friendly and non-judgemental advice. We will see you and your partners/family members on an individual basis, at a time and place that suits you. Please call 0131 536 6247 or text/call 07881 517 317
Within Lothian support for young people is provided within all High Schools. Support is also available out with these locations. For more information contact 07 969 530 266 by telephone or by sending a ‘stop smoking’ text.
Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender people in Lothian (if not keen on attending generic services) can contact 0131 523 1100.
If you require a translator then this can be arranged through your local office.
