Group Fixed Support

What this services offers

Smokefree Community Services deliver free intensive support in a range of forms to assist smokers to quit. The main support is in the form of stop smoking groups which are run regularly in local venues by trained advisers for an hour per week for seven weeks. The advisors will discuss Nicotine Replacement Therapy, Champix & Zyban and if appropriate give you a form to take to your GP or pharmacist requesting the product of your choice (getting Zyban or Champix is dependent upon a medical assessment by your GP). The groups are relaxed, informal and friendly and you will get support and encouragement from the advisors and the other quitters in the group which means that you will be much more likely to stop smoking than going it alone.
Smokefree Community Services also deliver drop ins for clients who cannot attend groups, further details available by contacting the service on the number below or visiting the website (www.nhsggcsmokefree.org.uk).

Groups are run in the daytime and evening - contact for details or see the website (www.nhsggcsmokefree.org.uk).
