What this services offers
Forth Valley Stop Smoking Support provides drop-in clinics that smokers can access without a referral or an appointment - just drop in to receive specialist support and, where appropriate, free Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT). Smokers can also contact their medical practice where GPs will offer advice and information on NRT and other stop smoking products, as well as referrals to a stop smoking clinic for specialist support. In addition, there are some specialist stop smoking clinics which are run from Health Centres or Medical Practices for their practice patients. The type of specialist treatment on offer is mainly one-to-one but some practices do run group sessions.
There are drop-in clinics in Stirling (St Ninians Health Centre), Falkirk (Camelon Health Centre) and Clackmannan (Alloa Health Centre). Contact your GP for details of practice based sessions. There are also Community run groups by Stirling Health & Well-Being Alliance.
